Hat Trick for Hinch at Global Spirits Awards

Co-Down based Hinch Distillery has scored at a hat trick at the prestigious 2023 Meininger's International Spirits Awards.

The third and last tasting round of the year at Meininger's International Spirits Award at the end of June was dedicated to the major categories of whisk(e)y, rum and grain spirits. Almost 550 products from all over the world were blind tasted and evaluated by the renowned jury of experts. The best 165 were awarded a Gold or a Grand Gold Medal.
 

Hinch’s latest release, Hinch Craft & Casks Imperial Stout Finish, has been recognized as the Best Blended Irish Whiskey and awarded a Grand Gold. Moreover, Hinch’s 10 Year Old Sherry Cask Finish and Peated Single Malt have shown their exceptional quality and received a Grand Gold and Gold award respectively.

The £15m, 30,000sq ft distillery and local tourist attraction which lies between Belfast and Ballynahinch on the glorious Killaney Estate launched after much anticipation in November 2020. The distillery now offers tours of its whiskey making process, as well as gin tours.
