Willowbrook Foods Ltd

Willowbrook Foods is a fresh food producer and processor. The Killinchy based company was established in 1968 when Managing Director John McCann began farming vegetables on his family's land and started selling the produce in local markets.

Initially producing prepared and packaged vegetables and soup mixes the company expanded into producing salad bags, salad bowls, stir-fries, farm grown beansprouts, mash products, dressed salads, sandwich fillers and mayonnaise to suit the needs of the market. It is now the largest processor of salads in Ireland. The firm's primary factory was operating from Killinchy in the 60's and in 2009 they opened a second factory in Newtownards to support production.

Willowbrook Food invested 5.5 million into a new state of the art purpose built Food Innovation Centre in 2011 which provides opportunities for specialised NPD and Technical teams to develop new products and improve existing ones to ensure that all customers receive premium quality goods.

A new company, Willowbrook Fine Foods was launched in 2014 offering a range of premium ready meal and vegetable accompaniments.
