    French chef Abel Mehablia is to launch a range of patisseries as part of his development of Northern Ireland’s first Patisserie Cookery School.

    Mehablia, born in Paris and a graduate of the Lycee Hotellerie Tourisme de Yvelines, near Versailles, already runs La Table Tea Room in Belfast and has identified an opportunity to sell his handcrafted artisan cakes and French breads to hotels, restaurants and high-end retailers in the UK and Republic of Ireland.

  • First wheat beer from Northern Ireland brewer

    A new wheat beer has just been launched by Clearsky Brewing Company, a recently formed craft brewer in Northern Ireland.

    Clearsky’s first branded beer, Fulcrum, a premium product, was launched at the end of October and is already available in bars and through off-sales across Northern Ireland. The bottle-conditioned beer has 5%ABV and is being retailed in 500 ml bottles.
