Top export award for Linwoods in Northern Ireland

Linwoods, the award-winning manufacturer of healthy superfoods, has won the top award for exports in the Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry's annual awards for 2017.

The company, which is based in Armagh, now goes forward to the National Chamber Awards at the Brewery in London.

Linwoods, a family owned and managed business, produces a range of products including premium bakery, fresh dairy and superfood supplements and snacks. The company gained the export award primarily for its success in selling superfoods in 25 countries, including Great Britain, the Republic of Ireland, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Belgium and the United Arab Emirates.

Brian Brannigan, head of sales at Linwoods, commenting on the award, says: "We are delighted to win the Export Business of the Year Award. Exporting is at the core of Linwoods' DNA and it's great to be recognised in this category. We are also excited at the opportunities this gives us to raise the profile of the company and our products with more customers and more export markets."

Linwoods, established in 1965, sources in raw materials for superfoods from around the world from the best suppliers and growers to ensure the highest quality and standards.

The superfoods include healthy milled seed, nuts and berry blends. With over 11 varieties these are a convenient, easy and quick way to gain a wide range of essential fatty acids, vitamins and minerals. Linwoods seeds are also low GI, and have no added salt or sugar, making them a natural product.

Linwoods healthy superfoods were first to market in 2004, and continue to be leaders within the health food sector.

Ongoing investment in new product development has resulted in innovative products such as Snackettes, a healthy seed snack, which launched in June 2016.
