Ewing Seafoods in Belfast, Northern Ireland’s oldest fishmonger, has had a fish product listed by an expert panel of judges in the Top 50 British Foods, an event organised by the UK Guild of Fine Food as part of the annual Great Taste Awards. The listing is the ninth for Northern Ireland in the prestigious food event.

A record 21 Northern Ireland food and drink companies have been short listed for the top 50 awards in the Blas na hEireann, National Irish Food competition, the winners of which will be announced at the annual Dingle Food Festival in Cork in 4-5 October.

Hannan Meats, the Northern Irish gourmet specialist, has achieved a hat-trick of Top 50 products in the prestigious UK Great Taste Awards, again courtesy of its unique salt-aging chamber.
