
Northern Ireland's Linwoods in line for top awards
Linwoods, the Northern Irish manufacturer of healthy superfoods and snacks, has been shortlisted for two awards in the forthcoming Food Matters Live, a celebration of the inspiring innovation and creativity shaping the future of food and drink.
Based in Armagh, Linwoods is shortlisted in the Innovative Better for You and Most Innovative Natural and Organic Product categories in the inaugural awards organised as part of the Food Matters Live event at ExCel in London later this month.
The Linwoods products shortlisted are its Hemp+ and Snackettes products. The winners will be announced on 22 November during the show.
Linwoods, a family-owned and managed business, has pioneered the development of a portfolio of products including linseed and other seeds such as flax, sunflower and pumpkin seeds, goji berries and nuts as food supplements. In addition to supplements, Linwoods has developed healthy snack foods.
The prestigious awards reflect the themes at the heart of Food Matters Live and are curated across 10 categories. They make the important connections across all elements of the food and drink supply chain - from innovative product development, ground-breaking science and technology through to packaging design and marketing strategies.
An expert panel of industry professionals have judged the awards and winners will be seen to have excelled in meeting the category criteria.
Food Matters Live is the UK's only cross-sector event bringing together the food and drink industry, retailers, foodservice providers, government and those working in nutrition, to enable collaboration and innovation to support a sustainable food landscape for the future.
Food Matters Live provides a platform for thought-provoking, cross-sector debate and encourages cross-sector collaboration. Taking place from 21 - 23 November 2017 at London's ExCeL.
Food Matters Live will include 800 exhibitors, 400 expert speakers and a programme of seminars. There will also be a meet the buyer session.
Thousands of visitors from a range of professions and disciplines, including food science and manufacturing, R&D, food marketing and brand management, retailing, nutrition and public health are expected to attend the event.
